(Co-Owner, Pilates, Barre, and SUP Instructor) Georgia began her Pilates journey in 2008. As a student, she quickly began to see the benefits of a consistent Pilates practice to increase strength, flexibility and combat the muscle imbalances caused by her scoliosis. After developing a true enthusiasm for all of the benefits of the method Georgia went on to complete various levels of Pilates instructor training though Balanced Body. Georgia continues to further her knowledge and understanding of the anatomy of movement, and enjoys working with clients of all fitness levels as well as clients who are rehabilitating from various injuries. Georgia is inspired by all types of movement, allowing her to bring a unique approach and perspective to each class and individual session. Her classes are creative, fun, and challenging (with a dash of humor sprinkled in for good measure - laughing is great for your core!) Georgia loves to teach and be a practitioner of Pilates mat, barre fusion, and equipment classes but her favorite is the challenge and tranquility of being on the Stand Up Paddle Board.

(Co-Owner, Pilates, YogaFit, and SUP Instructor)  Jennie has been practicing Pilates and Yoga on and off for years, but began her instructor journey in early 2013. After experiencing noticeable changes in her posture, muscle definition, core strength, and alleviation of low back pain, she couldn't wait to share her excitement for Pilates practice with others.  Jennie has completed all levels of Mat and Reformer training with Balanced Body, and recently completed YogaFit training. She continues to further her education in mindful movement in order to keep her classes new and exciting. Jennie enjoys building relationships with clients, and plans and instructs her private sessions and group classes with the intent of providing constant variety and challenges, all while making fitness fun!


Kellie Franks

(Pilates & Barre Instructor, Post-Natal Pilates Specialist)

Kellie began practicing Pilates in 2007. After experiencing a transformation in her own body, she decided she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share Pilates with others. In 2008 she began teaching and truly studying the Pilates method. Kellie has completed various levels of instructor training through Balanced Body University and she continues to train regularly and further her education. Kellie enjoys working with clients at all levels and takes great care to ensure their goals are being met. The clients' needs are Kellie’s number one focus, and whether it's private training or group classes, she will work closely with you to help you reach your fitness goals.  Kellie's laugh is contagious, and you can't help but smile when you're around her!  After just one class with Kellie, you'll feel her passion for Pilates and fitness, and experience her fantastic energy! Kellie is so excited to be returning from Hawaii where she had the opportunity to own her own studio and take a variety of training courses, most importantly learning a lot about Pre & Post-Natal Pilates. Her Pre & Post-Natal Pilates training came in very handy has she navigated her most recent pregnancy and delivery in March 2017.


(Pilates Instructor) Holly began taking Pilates at the suggestion of a friend and immediately loved it!! She has been taking classes for several years and has noticed a significant improvement in her posture and core strength which lends itself to her everyday life as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Holly has worked with people of all ages and athletic abilities as an ATC. She enjoys the fact that Pilates bodies are all different and capable of great things when given the right cues and feedback -whether that is on the mat or an apparatus.  Holly is trained through Balanced Body, and specifically enjoys teaching Reformer and Tower classes to her clients at Move.!



(Pilates Instructor) Niki was looking for a new challenge of exercise & began practicing Pilates in 2013. She immediately fell in love with the Pilates Principles, form & movement of the body! She couldn't get over the improvements in her range of motion, flexibility, posture & relief of knee pain. Staying busy with a part time desk job & being Mom to an amazing little boy, Niki understands (now more than ever!) the importance of taking time for yourself & doing some thing fabulous for your body!  Niki trained through Balanced Body, and enjoys sharing her deep knowledge of Pilates Equipment with her clients.

(Yoga Instructor)  Kim began practicing yoga several years ago as a way to find some peace and calming in her life as a busy mom and Realtor, as well as a great way to recover during training for races.  Yoga has been a part of her life ever since then, and she is most passionate about sharing yoga with others.  Kim's own children have been doing yoga since a young age and she cares about sharing yoga with other children to teach them tools that will stay with them and help them as they grow.  Kim also loves introducing adults to yoga because she believes yoga is accessible to EVERYONE and can have so many mental and physical benefits to adults at any age and in any physical condition.  She is always happy to have one on one discussions as well with anyone who is afraid or hesitant about beginning a yoga practice or to create a personalized at home practice for days when your schedule makes it difficult to make it in to the studio. Kim's classes focus on self awareness and exploration of the physical as well as the mental and emotional bodies we all have.  Kim's classes are designed to leave you feeling more at peace, more confident, and more complete than when you walked in.  And there is always an element of fun because we all could use a little more happiness and laughter in our lives!  Kim is a certified yoga teacher with a 200-hour RYT through Trailhead Center for Yoga and Ayurveda.


(Pilates Instructor) Kelly has been teaching Pilates in the Bloomington/Normal community since 2004. When Kelly first tried Pilates she couldn't help but smile after each and every class - what an amazing, challenging work out it offered while making you feel great. As a full-time working mom of three, Kelly understands the difficulties in finding time for yourself and balancing it all!. Kelly is excited to offer you the increased strength, body awareness, and self-esteem that this unique form of exercise offers. Each of Kelly’s classes integrate the foundational principles of Pilates, helping everyone meet their own goals and needs. Kelly has completed Mat and Reformer training through Balanced Body.  As a strong believer in the powerful and positive impact Pilates can have on your life, Kelly looks forward to helping you bring energy, strength and confidence into your every move.


(Pilates Instructor, Yoga Instructor, Alexander Technique Teacher) Ian is a dancer and choreographer, and has completed two Pilates certifications in New York City, one in one in the Classical Method and another exploring contemporary approaches.  He is also a nationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, a form of learning to undo harmful and unnecessary tension in your body to help regain your natural balance and coordination, freeing your body of unnatural pain. He is a MELT Method Hand and Foot Instructor and experienced in Tai Chi and Yamuna Body Rolling.  Ian's lessons synthesize his vast experience of bodywork and emphasize awareness, ease of movement, and intelligent control.  The goal of each session is to leave the studio refreshed, energized, and strong, living more fully and happily in your body.

Ian Jorgensen, Happy Body, Clear Mind


(Yoga Instructor), completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2014 at The Giving Tree Yoga Studio in New York City.  As an Illinois native, Allison brings her Midwestern charm to her classes through humor and a warm smile.   Her personal yoga practice extends back to her childhood and has been a constant balance in her life.  With a background in music and movement, Allison is able to draw from many sources to create a full experience.  Allison's classes are a dynamic blend of movement and conscious curiosity, which will leave you with a sense of freedom in the body and mind.

Sarah Shipley

Sarah Shipley has been teaching Pilates since 2006, receiving a Comprehensive Pilates Certification in 2014 from Balanced Body.  She enjoys sharing her love of Pilates with others, both in group classes and private training formats.  


On a personal note, Sarah and her husband Marty live in Bloomington. 


Melanie Appel

Melanie began practicing yoga in 2013 as a form of exercise, but quickly realized the benefits of yoga extend far past the mat. She credits her daily yoga practice for feeling strong and free in her body as well as helping her cultivate a stronger sense of self. As it is said, “Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self”- Bhagavad Gita. After years of personal study and practice, Melanie is excited to share what she has learned about movement and the mind body connection with her students. Always a student before a teacher, Melanie is currently completing her 200 RYT in Pranakrya yoga teacher training.
